Established in Somerset in 1971, Mulberry has grown to be the largest maker of luxury leather goods in the United Kingdom. With a contemporary take on British heritage and a focus on responsible craft, its ambition is to create progressive luxury, which is made to last.
Mulberry is looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed apprentices with a desire to learn about this exciting industry! Apprentices will learn and understand the end-to-end process of how leather is produced and the manufacturing processes required to produce our luxury handbags whilst studying with Bridgwater College once a week.
What you’ll do at work:
- The scheme will provide opportunities to explore the wider business, creating an understanding of how the supply chain is connected to other departments at Mulberry
- Apprentices will also develop and refine their practical skills in areas like stitching, inking and cutting, to be able to construct a whole product from beginning to end!
- Upon successful completion of the 15 month programme, candidates will be awarded an industry recognised Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard as a Leather Craftsperson and will attend a graduation day at our London Head Office
Apprentices will work in production on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Each Wednesday will be dedicated to self-study, training, and college lessons. College lessons are delivered on site at the company’s Bridgwater factory – The Willows. Its production team operates on a four-day work week.
