The company has a leading production facility and offers a full range of services from design, supply, production and installation to full project management, undertaking external facades, conservation, hard landscaping and high-end interiors.

Build your career in heritage craft with a stonemasonry apprenticeship at Meister. Learn traditional and modern techniques from expert masons, gain real project experience, and earn while you train. Following passing the apprenticeship – the stonemason would then be considered for a permanent stonemasonry position at Meister Masonry.

What you’ll do:

• Practical workshop tasks – learning to use traditional hand tools, practicing measuring, marking out and cutting stone to precise dimensions, dressing and finishing stone surfaces.
• Work closely with skilled masons and mentors.
• Be involved in real projects that contribute to meaningful builds.
• Follow all Health & Safety rules and regulations.

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills. You will need to attend college one day per week, term time only at their Somer Valley Campus in Radstock. You’ll be working towards a Level 2 Stonemason apprenticeship, including Functional Skills in English and maths if required.

Desirable qualifications:

GCSE in English (grade 4/C or above) and Maths (grade 4/C or above). Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.
