Compass Building and Construction Services Ltd is looking to recruit apprentice joiners to join its apprentice programme.

Applications are invited from candidates who are keen to access a career in construction, that are able to demonstrate a willingness to work hard, have strong practical skills and ability along with good communication and teamwork skills.

The modern apprenticeship is four year programme delivered in partnership with the apprentice, employer and UHI Inverness and comprises of the following components: SVQ 3, PDA and Core Skills.

The PDA component of the qualification is delivered at UHI Inverness on block release whilst the SVQ 3 is delivered in the workplace supported by visits from College assessors. Content includes:-

• Install second fixing components
• Timber frames (internal and external)
• Ground and upper floor construction
• Woodworking and power tools
• Pitched roof construction
• Domestic fitments

On the job training will be provided to achieve all aspects of the role requirements.
