Project Administration Officer (Shaping a Resilient Future)

With a lifelong passion for art and creativity, Zarka has loved drawing from a young age and working with textiles alongside her seamstress mother. She has studied and worked in politics and as a museum visitor host (the Royal Academy of Arts, National Maritime Museum and Fashion + Textile Museum). She is a member of the Young Women’s Trust Rights at Work Project Group.

Zarka is a keen traveller and loves learning about creative practices from around the world. Influenced by traditional artisanship from her own Pakistani heritage, she believes passionately in intercultural learning as a means to safeguard crafts in the UK.
