About

Designer and maker of high quality Scottish harps for professional players around the world. Harps are specially made to order for individual players, from a wide choice of different models, timbers and inlays.

Mark Norris originally trained in the making of harpsichords, spinets and clavichords with Arnold Dolmetsch Ltd in Haslemere, Surrey, and in 1981 he returned to Scotland to establish his own workshop specialising in harps.

In spring 2026, Mark will begin teaching harp making skills in a new Scottish School of Harp Making.
