About

Geoffrey Preston is a sculptor, specialising in decorative plasterwork and in particular the art of stucco. After studying sculpture at Hornsey College of Art he trained as a stonemason and carver and was a founding director of two of the country's most respected building conservation companies.

In 2000 he set up his workshop in Devon with his wife Jenny. Together they lead a small company of sculptors creating fine new decorative plasterwork for buildings all over the country. They work for architects, interior designers and private clients on commissions that range in scale from a single, beautifully modelled signature piece to a ballroom ceiling, a wall of fabulous sea creatures and even a flying unicorn.

Geoffrey has been credited by Country Life Magazine with creating ‘the most inspiring plaster decoration of modern times’. In 2021 he was awarded an MBE for services to stucco and plasterwork in Her Majesty The Queen’s Birthday Honours.
