About
ANH Artisan is a woodworking business based in Weardale in the North East of England dedicated to creating handcrafted furniture and household objects using traditional hand tools. Our passion for woodworking has led us to offer beginner and intermediate hand tool woodworking courses, where enthusiasts can learn the art of woodworking here in our workshop in tranquil surroundings of our workshop situated in the heart of the wildlife site Harehope Quarry. We take pride in our craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring that each piece tells a story of dedication and artistry.
With over 15 years of experience as a woodworker, designer and maker, I have worked with private clients up and down the country creating unique bespoke pieces of furniture by hand.
As well as creating bespoke furniture I have also exhibited work as part of design exhibitions in the BALTIC centre for contemporary, the Shipley Art Gallery in Gateshead and the Bowes muesum. I also offer woodworking demonstrations at heritage events showcasing the relevance and timeless necessity of hand tool woodworking.
