Rae Weaver

Grants and Membership Administrator

With a foundation in green woodworking and willow, and interests in native botany, horticulture and environmental conservation, Rae’s explorations into rural craft began early on. It wasn’t until she and partner Eric (a traditional ships-rigger by trade) realised a common curiosity in textile weaving that the pair taught themselves to design, build and weave on their own loom. Weaver Rae now creates handwoven one-off or small batch heirloom adornments made from one hundred per cent British and Westcountry wool. Rae’s previous employment includes as Membership and Visitor Welcome Assistant at the National Trust, and she has volunteered with conservation charities such as the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and the Penwith Landscape Partnership.
