About

I am a traditional time served Master wheelwright, making all aspects of wooden wheels, vehicles, metalwork and tools/equipment for re-enactment societies, craftsmen and tradesmen.

I am a fourth generation wheelwright and only wheelwright in the UK to have leaned my trade from the previous three generations of my family, thus ensuring the traditional skills and knowledge have survived.

My work has featured in displays and exhibitions all over the UK including roles in television, royal and county shows and museums.

I have conducted research in the USA and Canada as a Churchill fellow http://www.worldwidewheelwright.com

I have recently trained one official apprentice as well as mentoring many others in the trade, I hope to train more people in the near future. I am soon to open a working museum and craft training centre at my Wheelwright's Shop in Lancashire offering courses in a broad range of crafts taught by experts in their fields.
